Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! This is like one of my favorite holidays! I love picking out cards that will suit each classmate. Unfortunately, a) next year most likely there will be no more valentines and b) all our valentines are kind of juvenile. I mean would a sixth grader want the choice of Star Wars or Spiderman? Not really. How about Hello Kitty or Tinker Bell? Excuse me?! So anyways I went with these awesome fortune teller valentines for girls and for the boys (sadly because there was no other choice than Spider Man) I went with Star Wars. Have any of you ever had a Valentines Day problem (bad boyfriend gifts count ;) )? Well once again Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actress (In the Making)

Hey readers! If you read my Music Rocks post then you know I love musicals. But I also have been in a few for summer school. Then the class got to put the show on for the school and our parents. The first year I did that class I was in Mary Poppins. I got a part other than a narrator! Yeah! But it was a made up part. :( . And I got only two lines. But at least I got to sing all the songs and learn the choreography. Another bad thing is that we got 45 minutes a day per day five days a week for 3 weeks. Not much time to learn all that stuff huh? Then the next summer we did the play Newsies. By then I was in Fifth Grade and very dramatic. So I was casted as one of the main characters, Les the younger brother of the main character. Good thing I had cut my hair the month before from really long to just above my chin. We all had to wear newsboy caps so I was able to tuck my hair into that and viola! Newsies choreography was really hard to learn but it was because I had just moved form the 3rd and 4th grade play group to the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade group. In other words more complicated dance moves. But we were able to do it! Bad News: my BFF Lindsey was casted a person who said one line in the whole entire play. And normally at the least you said two lines. Ooh sorry Lin. Hey readers, tell me if you've been in any plays or musicals.

Music Rocks

Hey ya'll! I totally love music and singing. My favorite songs include Frozen's Let it Go, She Wolf (Falling to Pieces), and Jar of Hearts by Christina Perry. As you may know I love my reader's opinions. Tell me what your favorite songs are. I also adore musicals. Wicked is my all time favorite with Hairspray at a close second. Third would have to be Newsies.  I want to see the new Matilda musical though. That musical is based on Rhode Dahl's book Matilda. Wicked is about the wicked witch of the west before she turned evil and how she was once friends with Glinda. Hairspray is about a girl who loves to dance and she wants to get on a show for good dancers and singers. But being slightly overweight takes away her chances. Newsies is about a group of newsboys on strike for better pay. I am so jealous of a cousin I have who lives in New Jersey because she once told me she gets to go on a field trip to see a Broadway play :( . Readers please tell me about your favorite musical!

Strawberry Crepes

I love this recipe! You've got to try it!
Crepe Batter:
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon melted butter
1. Beat eggs in a bowl.
2. Add a little flour and sugar then use an electric mixer and combine. Add a little bit of milk and water and mix. Repeat this until all the milk, flour, sugar, and water are gone. Mix until smooth. Beat in melted butter.
3. Chill for an hour.
4. Heat a frying pan to medium high heat. Pour the crepe batter as if making a pancake. Swirl the batter to cover the whole bottom of the pan.
5. Cook for about 2 minutes. Use a fork to gently lift the crepe out of the pan and quickly flip the crepe over. Cook this side for about 1 minute and then move the crepe to a plate.

See the next post for a filling!  <3 VICTORIA
